Our History

Crossing Ministry is rooted and grounded in a sensitivity for the needs of people that only comes from a mature sensitivity to God. Crossing was birthed on August 11th 2002 as a result of a vision God poured into Bishop Leon D. Ralph.

Bishop Ralph was the founder and presiding prelate of the Interdenominational Church of God (ICOG) of America. Bishop Ralph had focused on the International ministry of the ICOG not pastored a local congregation in over 20 years. At the age of 70, Bishop Ralph responded to God’s call to open the local congregation. Initially the name of the church was the Interdenominational Church of God of L.A. (or ICOGLA).

We met in Bishop Ralph’s home as a home bible study. Teaching and fellowship remain the heart of the church. ICOGLA soon grew to the point in which the home bible study had to be moved. On May 19th 2004 we incorporated as Crossing.

Bishop Ralph was called to Glory February 2007 and passed the mantle of the church to the current Pastor Kendall Davis. Pastor Davis met Bishop Ralph in 1999 while he was a member of Strait Gate Church of Los Angeles (an ICOG ministry) and has been a member of Crossing since June 2004.
