Firm Hands

Purpose

Firm Hand Outreach Community Centers is a nonprofit multiple purpose organization that services the needs of residents in many communities. This organization derives out of the concern of families in the communities that have to fulfill their personal obligations through the court system, as it relate to themselves and their children.

Firm Hand primary focus is to provide a wealth of services that will educate, enhance and support at risk youth and their families, as well as serve as a resource center in many communities at low or no cost. This organization believes that families of today are in need a wraparound service that will assist parents and youth inthe community. Through this Firm Hand will provide a foundation for youth to become more effective and productive citizen in society.

Mission Statement

Firm Hand is dedicated to supporting families in the community through aiding in Restoring communication, Reunifying broken relationships and Rebuilding family structure into a cohesive family unit.

The Goal

The goal of this organization is to plant Firm Hand Community Centers in every city in Los Angeles County and abroad. That will reproduce the same purpose and services for every community.

Service Offered

Anger Management, Certified Parenting Classes, Individual and Family Counseling, Grief and Sexual Abuse Counseling, Drug Education and Counseling, Life skills, Mentoring, Tutoring College and Employment Preparation

Time and Locations of Classes

Classes are scheduled to be held for a period of 10-15 weeks Monday, Wednesday, Thursday from 6:00pm-7:00pm and on Saturday from 10:00am-12:30pm.Please call (310) 608-2200 and register at the location nearest you: Bellflower, Carson, Gardena, Los Angeles, Long Beach, Norwalk, Lakewood and La Mirada.
