Strike First Crew

Elder William Carter is an Evangelist at heart. Anyone who knows him will say he lives, eats and sleeps the gospel. There no doubt why he heads the Strike First Crew. He believes in soul winning and changing lives. Elder Carter has been part of the leadership team of Crossing since 2003. He is married to Keyana Carter and together they are raising 3 children.

And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force. – Matthew 11:12

The Strike First Crew

It’s a radical name for a team with a radical assignment, pushing forward the kingdom of heaven through all opposition. The Strike first crew is not your average evangelism team. In fact we are not one team but two. The first team consists of the attack squad that goes out to spread the gospel. The second team is the prayer squad that works in cohesion with the evangelism team praying before during and after all outreaches. The ministry of witnessing and prayer collide as we strike first to draw people out of the kingdom of darkness and into the kingdom of light.

The Assault Team

Before going out we pray and equip ourselves in the armor of God so we will be able to stand in the evil day. We wield the weapons of our warfare with boldness and go forward in the confidence that Christ is with us. Our mission: To bring the gospel to the world. Our approach: create a connection by offering them prayer then reach them with the gospel. Our philosophy: Love has to permeate all of our actions. We show the same love to those who receive us as we do to those who refuse to hear us. We bring forth the gospel with boldness and Christ with love.

The Support Team

We do nothing without seeking God first in prayer. Weeks before the evangelism team goes out we cover the chosen streets with prayer seeking God for the harvest. During the scheduled outreach the prayer team supports the assault by gathering at the church and praying the entire time they are out. When their God given mission to bring the gospel is completed, we pray for the entire team. We pray protection and blessing upon each person involved and pray for the ones that were reached. Through prayer we support all who go out and all those who are witnessed to throughout their entire mission. Disciple Making Our job is not complete at salvation. Our goal is to produce disciples for Jesus Christ. Members from both the Assault and Support Teams spend time between missions following up on those they made contact with. For those who want to get connected are encouraged to enter our discipleship program. Through discipleship we are taking them from the streets into service.

Please contact our church office if you have any questions about evangelism.
